When L&P reached out to me, they were on a mission—one that led them all the way from the United States to the mediterranean part of Spain. They wanted a wedding day that felt like an adventure, intimate and personal, with a backdrop that captured both the romance and the wonder of their love story. As a Spain elopement photographer, I knew Barcelona and its surroundings would be the perfect canvas for their dream day.
Sunrise in Sitges and Magic in Montserrat
After some brainstorming and location scouting, we decided on a plan that combined the best of both worlds—sea and mountains, culture and nature. Our day began in Sitges, a picturesque coastal town just a short drive from Barcelona. L&P loved the idea of a sunrise ceremony, and honestly, who wouldn’t? There’s something so magical about exchanging vows as the first light of the day breaks over the horizon, casting a golden glow on everything it touches.
The early morning in Sitges was serene. The usually bustling streets were quiet, with only the sound of the waves lapping against the shore. We choosed a place by the church of Sant Bartomeu i Santa Tecla where L&P could say their "I dos" in a moment that was truly theirs. The sun rose, and with it, a sense of peace and joy that was palpable. It was intimate, it was beautiful, and it was everything they had imagined.
But the adventure didn’t stop there. After the ceremony, we headed to Montserrat, a stunning mountain range that feels like it’s straight out of a fairy tale. The contrast from the coastal vibes of Sitges to the rugged beauty of Montserrat was incredible. We spent the rest of the morning exploring the mountains, taking in the breathtaking views, and capturing the magic of L&P’s first hours as a married couple.
What made this day truly special was the blend of settings—starting the day by the sea and ending it in the mountains, surrounded by the rich culture and natural beauty that Barcelona has to offer. L&P’s elopement was a testament to how choosing the right locations can transform a simple ceremony into an unforgettable adventure.
